Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) wage increases in the agricultural sector from January 1, 2026

Open Field Cultivation & Greenhouse Horticulture

At Opus, we closely follow the Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) developments in the agricultural sector.
From January 1, 2026, new wage increases will take effect under the Open Field Cultivation and Greenhouse Horticulture CLAs.

📈 CLA Open Field Cultivation – wage increase from January 1, 2026

For companies and employees in sectors such as arable farming, open-field vegetable cultivation, flower bulbs, tree nurseries, and fruit growing, wages will increase by 2.2% as of January 1, 2026.

This adjustment is part of the multi-year CLA 2025–2027 and aims to protect employees’ purchasing power and keep the sector attractive in a tight labour market.

🌿 CLA Greenhouse Horticulture – wage increase from January 1, 2026

For employees and temporary workers in the greenhouse horticulture sector (such as ornamental plant cultivation under glass and greenhouse vegetable production), wages will increase by 2.0% as of January 1, 2026, for salary scales C to H.

This increase follows the CLA 2025–2026, which includes agreements to stabilise the sector and retain skilled workers.

👥 Who does this apply to?

The wage increases apply to all employees covered by these CLAs — including both permanent staff and temporary workers employed through Opus who are paid according to the relevant CLA.

💼 What does this mean for employers and clients?

From January 1, 2026, labour costs in these sectors will increase. This means it’s important to:

  • Review budgets and rates in time

  • Update contracts and payroll systems before the effective date

  • Adjust placement agreements and rate structures to avoid unexpected changes

At Opus, we are happy to support you in implementing these adjustments on time, so that your company is fully prepared for the new year.
