SNF: Housing Inspections
When accommodation is provided for migrant workers, it must comply with the standards of the Stichting Normering Flexwonen (SNF). These standards set requirements regarding safety, hygiene, privacy, living space, and facilities within the accommodation. The purpose is to ensure a safe and high-quality living environment.
To assess whether an accommodation meets these requirements, inspections are carried out. These inspections consist of two parts: an administrative inspection and a location inspection.
During the administrative inspection, it is verified whether all required documentation is present and correct. This includes rental agreements, resident registrations, and other mandatory administrative records.
The location inspection focuses on the physical condition of the accommodation. This includes aspects such as fire safety, sanitary facilities, available living space, hygiene, and general maintenance.
In addition to the initial inspection, periodic and annual inspections are conducted to ensure that the accommodation continues to comply with SNF standards.
